Milia


             

Milia are very small fluid filled cysts with a white, pearly appearance and can occur at any age.  They are caused when dead skin does not slough off but remains trapped in a tiny pocket on the surface of the skin and are commonly found near and around the eyes.




Syringoma




Often confused with Milia, Syringoma appear more commonly around the eyes and are large, white bumps under the skin.  Syringomas are completely harmless and are caused by the overgrowth of cells from sweat glands.
